Overview:

The Business Development Director will lead the overall site acquisition and expansion strategy across multiple food brands under the group. The role is primarily responsible for identifying high-potential locations, managing lease negotiations, building strong landlord and developer relationships, and driving nationwide store expansion initiatives.

This position requires a strong background in real estate, leasing, and food industry business development, preferably from large QSR or restaurant chains. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience handling strategic expansion projects and leading business development teams at a senior leadership level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead nationwide site acquisition and store expansion initiatives across assigned brands
  • Identify and evaluate strategic locations for new store openings
  • Manage lease negotiations, renewals, and landlord/developer partnerships
  • Conduct market studies, trade area analysis, and site feasibility assessments
  • Work closely with Operations, Marketing, Construction, and Finance teams to support expansion plans
  • Drive pipeline management for potential store locations nationwide
  • Lead and mentor a Business Development team with approximately 10–15 direct reports
  • Regularly conduct fieldwork and site visits to assess location opportunities
  • Present expansion strategies and site recommendations to executive leadership
  • Ensure expansion targets and business development KPIs are achieved

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, Management, or related field
  • At least 20 years of relevant work experience, with majority coming from the food industry
  • Strong background in site acquisition, leasing, and real estate negotiations
  • Proven leadership experience in business development and multi-site expansion
  • Experience from QSR, restaurant chains, coffee shops, or food retail companies is highly preferred
  • Exposure to nationwide expansion projects and multi-brand environments is an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
  • Willing to do extensive fieldwork and nationwide travel
