Key Responsibilities

Compensation Strategy

  • Develop and manage company-wide compensation frameworks, including salary structures, job leveling, and pay governance.
  • Lead annual merit, promotion, and salary review cycles across retail and corporate populations.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure competitiveness within the retail industry.
  • Provide guidance on job evaluations, salary offers, adjustments, and pay equity matters.

Incentives & Variable Pay

  • Design and manage incentive programs for store operations, sales, leadership, and support functions.
  • Ensure incentive plans drive performance, productivity, and customer outcomes aligned with business goals.
  • Partner with Finance and HR leadership on incentive funding, modeling, and payouts.

Benefits & Wellbeing

  • Oversee the design and administration of employee benefits programs (healthcare, insurance, retirement, wellness).
  • Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and negotiations to optimize cost and employee value.
  • Ensure benefits offerings support diverse employee segments within the retail workforce.

Governance, Compliance & Analytics

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Monitor rewards-related risks, costs, and ROI through data, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Lead audits, reporting, and governance processes related to total rewards.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and develop the Total Rewards team.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on rewards strategy and workforce planning.
  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, Legal, and Business Leaders to support retail growth and transformation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with leadership experience.
  • Strong exposure to retail, FMCG, or multi-site operations preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation design, incentives, benefits administration, and labor compliance.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
