ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE MANAGER (CPA)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly competent and detail-oriented Accounting and Finance Manager (CPA) to lead and oversee all accounting and financial management functions in our Makati City office. The ideal candidate is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with strong leadership capabilities and extensive experience in general accounting and all facets of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial guidance.
Experience working in an accounting firm is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting & Financial Operations
- Oversee and manage all facets of accounting, including:
- General Ledger management
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Payroll processing and review
- Fixed assets management
- Inventory accounting (if applicable)
- Accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to management
- Monitor cash flow and manage working capital effectively
Compliance, Tax & Audit
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
- Oversee preparation and filing of tax returns and compliance with BIR, SEC, and other regulatory requirements
- Lead coordination for internal and external audits
- Develop and strengthen internal controls and risk management systems
Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff
- Develop and implement accounting policies and SOPs
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational and strategic objectives
Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
- At least 5–8 years of solid experience in general accounting and all major accounting functions, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Experience in an accounting firm is an advantage but not required
- Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, compliance requirements, and financial reporting standards
- Hands-on experience in managing full-cycle accounting operations
- Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
