Role Overview

The Assistant Manager – Financial Reporting and Consolidation ensures the completeness, accuracy, and timely submission of financial reports for management and external stakeholders. The role leads the financial closing process, maintains strong internal controls, and ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations. It also plays a key role in managing audits, improving financial systems, and guiding a team toward effective execution of finance strategies.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), with strong technical knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
  • With at least 6–7 years of experience in managing financial reporting and consolidation, preferably including external audit and supervisory roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of governance, internal controls, and risk management, with proven experience in identifying and resolving control issues
  • Proficiency in financial reporting systems and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, consolidation, and submission of accurate financial reports in compliance with PFRS and internal policies
  • Oversee the financial closing process, ensuring timely and consistent recording of transactions and proper application of accounting standards
  • Manage interim and annual external audits, as well as regular internal audits; implement corrective actions for audit findings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review processes, enhance controls, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
  • Provide guidance and direction to direct reports on executing finance strategies, performance management, career development, and problem resolution
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial accounting systems, processes, and reporting efficiency
