Role Overview

The Accounting & Admin Officer is responsible for managing the company's end-to-end accounting operations while providing financial analysis and budgeting support to management. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely financial insights to support business planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; CPA is an advantage.
  • At least 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with exposure to both transactional and reporting functions.
  • Strong background in accounting operations, including EOR processes, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial closing.
  • Must have background in financial analysis and modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • With experience in manufacturing environments, particularly within semiconductor, power generation, or related industries.
  • Experienced in preparing and delivering presentations to ManCom or senior leadership. Should also have people management experience.
  • Proficient in accounting systems and MS Excel.

Roles & Responsibilities

Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting reports in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation and audit trails.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and statutory requirements.

Finance, Planning & Analysis

  • Support budgeting and periodic forecasting activities, including preparation, consolidation, and variance analysis.
  • Conduct financial and cost analysis to support management decisions and operational improvements.
  • Monitor expenses, cost trends, and key financial metrics to help improve cost control and efficiency.
  • Prepare management reports and financial summaries for leadership review.
  • Assist in basic financial modeling and scenario analysis as needed.

Business Support & Process Improvement

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial data, explanations, and insights.
  • Identify and implement improvements in accounting and finance processes, systems, and reporting workflows.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements.
