Job Overview:

The BIM Rebar Coordinator is the central point of contact for all rebar BIM-related activities on projects, responsible for overseeing the implementation, management, and coordination of rebar modeling processes. This role ensures seamless integration of rebar models within the overall project BIM, facilitates effective information exchange, and maintains the integrity of rebar data for fabrication and construction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in rebar detailing and BIM roles, including at least 1-2 years in a coordination or lead capacity for rebar projects.
  • Expert proficiency in rebar detailing and BIM software (e.g., Tekla Structures [required], Navisworks Manage, Revit with rebar extensions).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing BIM Plans focused on rebar/steel projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of rebar fabrication and installation processes, rebar standards, and BIM protocols specific to concrete structures (e.g., ISO 19650 adapted for rebar workflows).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to manage interdisciplinary rebar coordination.
  • Must have work experience within the construction industry or rebar fabrication/supplies company.
  • Must be willing to work in either Makati or Taguig area.
  • Must be amenable to work in either mid-shift or night

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and workflows for rebar detailing and coordination.
  • Oversee the rebar BIM model authoring, coordination, and delivery process for assigned projects.
  • Manage and maintain the Common Data Environment (CDE) specific to rebar models, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for all stakeholders (engineers, detailers, fabrication, site).
  • Conduct regular rebar model federation and advanced clash detection exercises (e.g., rebar-to-rebar, rebar-to-MEP, rebar-to-structure) using tools like Navisworks Manage, and facilitate clash resolution meetings.
  • Provide technical support and training to rebar detailers and other project team members on rebar BIM software and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to rebar detailing standards, BIM protocols, and quality control procedures across all rebar models.
  • Report on rebar BIM progress, issues, and risks to project management and structural engineers.
  • Act as the primary liaison between structural engineers, rebar detailers, fabrication, and site teams regarding rebar BIM-related matters.
  • Evaluate and implement new rebar BIM technologies and methodologies to enhance detailing and fabrication efficiency.
