JOB SUMMARY:
The Head of Traffic Operations is responsible for leading all traffic-related functions, including ensuring safe and efficient flow, managing incident response activities, and maintaining high service standards for the general public. The role requires strategic leadership, extensive experience in traffic operations or law enforcement, and the ability to work closely with both internal teams and external partners. A high level of professionalism, people management skills, and customer service orientation is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the Traffic Operations Division and manage a large workforce deployed across various areas.
  • Design and implement traffic control procedures, incident response protocols, and patrolling strategies.
  • Monitor traffic activity through real-time systems and respond accordingly to minimize disruptions.
  • Supervise safety and traffic-related projects to improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations for joint activities, regulatory compliance, and operational support.
  • Enforce traffic rules and internal policies to ensure public safety and order.
  • Promote continuous improvements in team deployment, equipment utilization, and traffic technologies.
  • Lead and develop team members to maintain discipline, performance excellence, and responsive service.
  • Set performance targets and generate reports on traffic status, incident management, and service outcomes.
  • Represent the organization in external meetings and public engagements related to traffic operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Criminology, Public Safety, or any related field; advanced education or certification in traffic management is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in traffic operations or enforcement, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams, preferably in an operational or enforcement setting.
  • Solid knowledge of traffic systems, traffic control principles, and safety management.
  • Experience working with public institutions, law enforcement, or regulatory bodies is an advantage.
  • Strong background in enforcement processes and operational protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage emergency situations effectively.
  • Customer-oriented, with a commitment to service excellence and operational responsiveness.
