Role Overview

The Corporate Finance Senior Specialist Payroll oversees and executes end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant laws and company policies. The role handles complex payroll tasks, analyzes payroll data, resolves discrepancies, and drives process improvements. This position is crucial to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of payroll operations and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, time and attendance, and deductions.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends and discrepancies; generate reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations through continuous monitoring and updates.
  • Address employee payroll-related inquiries and provide technical support to other departments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing/payment of payroll taxes and remittances.
  • Coordinate with outsourced payroll providers to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.

System Improvement

  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving payroll systems and processes.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance payroll accuracy and operational efficiency.

Training and Support

  • Train payroll staff and support other departments on payroll processes and policies.

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, HR, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Advanced payroll certification (e.g., CPP from the American Payroll Association) is a plus
