The ideal candidate has a solid background in retail merchandising, with a strong focus on cosmetics or skincare products and experience in managing people. This role blends data analysis, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration to help drive sales, optimize product mix, and enhance customer experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Management, New Media, Public Relations, Advertising, Media, Communication, Commerce, or any business-related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in retail merchandising, including 1 year focused on cosmetics or skincare products.
- At least 1 year of experience in people management, team leadership, or supervisory responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Background in utilizing digital platforms, social media strategies, SEO/SEM, and customer engagement tools is a plus.
- Highly analytical with strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable using reporting tools, sales metrics, and merchandising analytics to inform planning and performance.
- Proficient in desktop applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), web tools, and social media management platforms.
- Creative thinker with the ability to multitask, manage pressure, and adapt to dynamic retail environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assortment Planning and Optimization
- Support the development and execution of a balanced, data-driven product assortment across categories.
- Analyze market trends, sales performance, and customer feedback to improve category planning and SKU productivity.
2. Pricing and Promotions Strategy
- Assist in designing pricing strategies that align with business goals.
- Work with the marketing team to coordinate and execute promotions that enhance sales, traffic, and category performance.
3. New Product Introductions
- Coordinate product launches by working with suppliers and internal departments.
- Support post-launch analysis to evaluate performance and propose improvements.
4. Vendor and Supplier Management
- Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Assist in negotiations and manage documentation and product coordination.
5. Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels and support demand forecasting and replenishment planning.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to prevent overstock and minimize stockouts while maintaining healthy turnover.
