The ideal candidate has a solid background in retail merchandising, with a strong focus on cosmetics or skincare products and experience in managing people. This role blends data analysis, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration to help drive sales, optimize product mix, and enhance customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Management, New Media, Public Relations, Advertising, Media, Communication, Commerce, or any business-related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in retail merchandising, including 1 year focused on cosmetics or skincare products.
  • At least 1 year of experience in people management, team leadership, or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Background in utilizing digital platforms, social media strategies, SEO/SEM, and customer engagement tools is a plus.
  • Highly analytical with strong business acumen and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable using reporting tools, sales metrics, and merchandising analytics to inform planning and performance.
  • Proficient in desktop applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), web tools, and social media management platforms.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to multitask, manage pressure, and adapt to dynamic retail environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assortment Planning and Optimization

  • Support the development and execution of a balanced, data-driven product assortment across categories.
  • Analyze market trends, sales performance, and customer feedback to improve category planning and SKU productivity.

2. Pricing and Promotions Strategy

  • Assist in designing pricing strategies that align with business goals.
  • Work with the marketing team to coordinate and execute promotions that enhance sales, traffic, and category performance.

3. New Product Introductions

  • Coordinate product launches by working with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Support post-launch analysis to evaluate performance and propose improvements.

4. Vendor and Supplier Management

  • Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Assist in negotiations and manage documentation and product coordination.

5. Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and support demand forecasting and replenishment planning.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to prevent overstock and minimize stockouts while maintaining healthy turnover.
