Job Title: Manufacturing Unit Director

Role Overview

The Manufacturing Unit Director in Visayas is responsible for planning, organizing, and aligning end-to-end company resources to support business strategy and volume growth while maintaining the highest levels of service at optimal cost for multiple manufacturing plants  This position is accountable for ensuring all manufacturing plants within the designated geography meet company requirements, including local regulations on product quality, people and asset safety, occupational health, environmental compliance, high productivity and efficiency, equipment reliability, service to sales, optimum cost operation, and people development.

The Manufacturing Unit Director develops and engineers strategic and tactical plans aligned with national programs. This ensures the delivery of business needs and requirements from short-term plans with high impact, leading to long-term consistent and sustainable results. This is achieved through various collaboration activities with key stakeholders across different functions, including Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance, Legal, HR, Labor Relations, and external partners such as Government Agencies and Regulatory Bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads Plant Managers in accomplishing manufacturing targets by optimizing people, equipment, and facility use, while working closely with support units to ensure adequate operational and technical resources.

      

    Ensures that all manufacturing activities across sites meet the highest standards in quality, safety, and environmental compliance, in line with both internal guidelines and local regulationssafeguarding brand integrity and consumer confidence.

     

    Facilitates the creation and execution of manufacturing strategies that complement overarching supply chain objectives, considering plant-specific capabilities and production capacities.

      

    Champions a workplace culture rooted in company values and growth behaviors, driving both transformational leadership and a performance-oriented mindset across the region.

      

    Works in close partnership with cross-functional leaders including HR, Legal, Labor Relations, Finance, and Government liaisonsto align production, talent strategy, and compliance needs for sustained business continuity.

      

    Oversees the formulation and execution of budget plans for repairs, maintenance, capital projects, and local initiatives that promote operational excellence and cost-efficiency.

     

    Develops robust governance mechanisms, policies, and performance indicators that cultivate leadership accountability, promote operational discipline, and encourage the right behaviors at all levels of the organization.

     

    Drives initiatives focused on continuous improvement, productivity gains, yield optimization, and efficient resource allocation across all manufacturing sites.
