Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and certified EEHS Auditor to conduct independent audits for our manufacturing clients. The role focuses on assessing compliance with environmental regulations, occupational health & safety standards, and energy management practices. The auditor will ensure that clients meet applicable legal requirements, industry standards, and internal policies, while also identifying opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and execute EEHS audits across client manufacturing facilities.
- Evaluate compliance with environmental laws, occupational safety standards, and energy management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
- Conduct on-site inspections, review documentation, and interview employees to assess compliance and performance.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive audit reports with findings, non-conformities, and recommendations.
- Support clients in identifying corrective and preventive actions to close audit findings.
- Stay updated on evolving EEHS regulations, industry best practices, and global standards.
- Provide advisory input on continuous improvement in safety, environmental sustainability, and energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with client teams and internal auditors to ensure consistency and quality in auditing practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or other relevant fields; background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an advantage.
- At least four (4) years of work experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in energy, environmental, or health & safety-related roles.
- Strong knowledge of local and international EEHS regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
Mandatory Certifications:
- Must have attended an IRCA/JRCA Certified Lead Auditor Course for applicable ISO standards.
- Lead Auditor Certification in at least one of the following (preferably more than one):
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
- ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety)
- ISO 50001 (Energy Management)
- Additional ISO certifications (e.g., ISO 9001) are considered an advantage.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in third-party audit or consultancy firms.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting and energy conservation initiatives.
Travel Requirement:
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites locally and internationally, depending on project needs.
- Flexibility to work across multiple manufacturing facilities with varying operational schedules.
