Job Overview

The Accounting Specialist – Reconciliation is responsible for performing accurate account reconciliations, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal and global standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Account Reconciliation & Closing

  • Perform timely and accurate account reconciliations for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, and reconciling items.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports in accordance with company and global standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.

Finance Operations Support

  • Support core finance processes including Record-to-Report (RTR), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Cost Management Accounting (CMA).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure smooth finance operations.

Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within reconciliation and reporting activities.
  • Participate in finance transformation initiatives and system enhancements.

Team Support & Development

  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members when needed.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience ranging from Staff to Manager level in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong background in account reconciliation, RTR, OTC, CMA, and general finance operations.
  • Exposure to global or shared services finance environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
