The Head of IT plays a critical role in the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure and systems. This role involves leading an IT team, overseeing projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to align IT strategies with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and align IT strategies with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain a multi-year IT roadmap, including technology upgrades, system enhancements, and resource planning.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems across all offices, stores, and kiosks.
- Ensure high availability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
- Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, allocate resources, and monitor progress.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies to protect organizational data and systems.
- Stay updated on cybersecurity threats and ensure the organization is prepared to mitigate risks.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and SLAs to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and manage the IT department budget, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Ensure timely resolution of user issues and provide technical support when needed.
- Ensure IT policies, procedures, and practices comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT management with a proven track record in leadership.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including Agile development, continuous integration/deployment, and testing.
- Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
- Experience managing IT networks across multiple locations, including stores and kiosks.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and emerging technologies.
- Knowledge of data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Proven project management skills and experience in managing complex IT projects.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 platform (Azure, Power BI, Power Automate, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Experience in training end users on IT systems and processes.
