Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Collections Senior Specialist to join our Global Shared Services team supporting the Australia and New Zealand markets. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of customers, ensuring timely collections, resolving disputes, and delivering excellent customer service while driving continuous process improvements within the Customer-to-Cash cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage a portfolio of customer accounts, performing detailed financial analysis to meet or exceed collection targets and KPIs
  • Drive collections activities to minimize bad debt risk and support order management when necessary
  • Escalate significant account deterioration or critical disputes to management in a timely manner
  • Handle customer queries across multiple communication channels efficiently and professionally
  • Support monthly and annual financial closing activities
  • Maintain and update portfolio documentation, SOPs, and process guidelines
  • Contribute to training initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within collections and dispute management processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and relevant legal/regulatory standards
  • Participate in additional projects or tasks as required

Key Stakeholders

  • Internal: Shared Services teams, Business Units, Internal Control teams
  • External: Customers, External auditors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • LEAN Six Sigma certification is a plus

Experience

  • Previous experience in Finance and/or Accounting, preferably within a multinational environment
  • Proven track record in driving process improvements and implementing solutions

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is an advantage
  • Experience with Genesys or similar telephony systems is a plus
