Learning & Development Sales Capability Head

Job Purpose

Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive learning and development strategy for the insurance distribution channel, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving performance across the agency network.

Job Description

  • Designing and implementing a comprehensive capability development strategy that supports sales and agency channel goals and stakeholder requirements

  • Building and strengthening organizational capability, including people, processes, tools, and structure, to effectively deliver training and development programs

  • Driving continuous improvement by adopting modern learning approaches, digital tools, industry trends, and evolving learner needs

  • Developing and delivering targeted training programs for sales teams, agency leaders, and new distribution models

  • Partnering with internal business units to support cross-functional learning initiatives and ensure alignment with business priorities

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

  • Extensive experience in training, learning and development, or capability building within insurance or financial services

  • Background in sales or agency distribution training is highly preferred

Negotiable Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of management-level experience in training, development, and education of sales teams and field force within the insurance industry

Core Competencies

  • Strong execution of strategy and change management initiatives

  • Expertise in training needs analysis, curriculum design, and program evaluation

  • Strong project management skills and exposure to agile or structured delivery methods

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Financial acumen and ability to optimize training resources
