Job Summary:
The Senior Category Manager is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and performance management of assigned categories within the FMCG and/or beauty portfolio. This role will drive sales growth, profitability, and market share across digital and retail channels by leveraging market insights, data analytics, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category strategies and annual business plans aligned with company objectives and growth targets
  • Conduct regular category performance reviews and competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
  • Plan and manage the product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional calendars to optimize sales and profitability
  • Collaborate with marketing and e-commerce teams to execute category campaigns, online content strategies, and customer engagement initiatives
  • Manage supplier relationships, conduct annual negotiations, and develop joint business plans to strengthen partnerships
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring availability while minimizing overstock and obsolescence
  • Track and analyze category KPIs (sales, margin, market share, inventory turnover) and provide actionable insights to senior management
  • Lead and mentor junior category managers or merchandisers to build category management capability within the team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 57 years of experience in category management or merchandising within the FMCG, e-commerce, or beauty industries
  • Strong commercial and strategic planning skills, with proven experience driving category growth and profitability
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into business actions
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management experience
  • Solid understanding of digital commerce, retail operations, and customer behavior
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop a high-performing team
