Role Overview

As a Commis Chef, you will play a key supporting role in the kitchen brigade, assisting senior chefs with food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation. This is an excellent opportunity to build your culinary skills and grow within a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in food preparation and basic cooking under supervision
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation areas
  • Follow kitchen procedures and standards set by the Head Chef/Sous Chef
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients
  • Adhere to food safety, health, and hygiene regulations
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and surfaces
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Commis Chef or kitchen assistant role is required
  • UK-based kitchen experience is highly desirable
  • Strong interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and presentable
  • Right to work in the UK
