Job Description:
Role Overview
As a Barback, you'll play a crucial behind-the-scenes role by ensuring bartenders have everything they need to keep the bar running smoothly. You'll be responsible for restocking, cleaning, and supporting the team during high-paced service periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Restock and replenish bar supplies including glassware, ice, garnishes, and beverages
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area
- Support bartenders during service by collecting used glassware and clearing surfaces
- Set up the bar before service and assist with closing procedures
- Ensure ice bins, coolers, and shelves are fully stocked at all times
- Assist with deliveries and stock rotation
- Follow all health and safety, hygiene, and licensing guidelines
Experience Preferred
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a Barback in a fast-paced hospitality environment (bar, restaurant, or event setting)
- Understanding of bar operations and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in coordination with the bar team
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proactive, energetic, and enthusiastic about hospitality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and able to handle fast-paced, physically demanding shifts
- Punctual, professional, and adaptable
- Available for evening, late-night, and weekend shifts
Must be eligible to work in the UK and able to travel to Central London or Surrey
