Role Overview

As an SIA Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, staff, and the public. Your presence will deter potential threats and your professionalism will reflect the quality of the venue or service you represent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor premises to prevent theft, unauthorised access, or unsafe behaviour
  • Carry out regular patrols and check security systems
  • Manage access control for staff, visitors, and vehicles
  • Provide excellent customer service while ensuring security protocols are followed
  • Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and alarms
  • Write accurate incident reports and maintain detailed logbooks
  • Work closely with venue managers, event coordinators, or FM teams depending on the site
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and site-specific policies

Requirements

  • A valid and active SIA Door Supervisor Licence - MANDATORY
  • Previous experience in a security role (hotel, event, logistics, or facilities
  • environment) preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanour
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with discretion
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Physically fit and presentable
  • Right to work in the UK
