Food & Beverage Assistant
Job Description:
Role Overview
As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring guests receive a high standard of service throughout their dining or event experience. This includes preparing service areas, delivering food and drinks, and maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide professional, attentive service at all times
- Take food and drink orders and serve accurately and efficiently
- Set up and clear down tables and service areas
- Assist with buffet setups, plated service, and drinks delivery
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness across all F&B areas
- Liaise with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Handle guest queries or concerns with professionalism and a customer-first attitude
Experience Required
- Minimum of 5 months of experience working in the UK hospitality sector (hotels, restaurants, or events)
- Familiarity with food and beverage service procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in busy environments
Training Requirements (Training can be provided if not already completed):
- Food Safety
- Allergen Awareness
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points)
- RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations)
- Health and Safety
- COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
- Fire Safety
