Job Description:
Role Overview
As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen. You'll work alongside chefs and front-of-house teams to ensure equipment, surfaces, and utensils are clean, organised, and safe for food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, workstations, and bins
- Support chefs with basic food prep when required
- Handle deliveries and organise stock/storage areas
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Remove waste and operate cleaning machinery
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as instructed by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
Experience Required
- Prior experience as a Kitchen Porter in a professional kitchen is preferred
- Able to handle physical tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and working in a fast-paced environment
Training Required (Trainings can be provided through HTR Recruitment)
- Food Safety

- HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)
- RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations)
- Health and Safety
- COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
- Fire Safety
