Job Title: Financial Controller (Hospitality Industry Required)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller with a minimum of 5 years of direct hospitality industry experience. The ideal candidate must have a strong background working in hotels, resorts, restaurants, or multi-unit hospitality operations and possess deep knowledge of hospitality financial metrics, cost controls, and revenue management.

This role will oversee all financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, improve profitability, and partner closely with executive leadership to drive strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight

• Manage all accounting functions including AR, AP, GL, payroll, and inventory.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Provide financial analysis and performance reporting to senior leadership.

Hospitality Financial Management

• Monitor and analyze key hospitality KPIs (occupancy rate, ADR, RevPAR, F&B margins).

• Oversee daily revenue reconciliation and POS reporting.

• Manage food & beverage cost controls and labor cost analysis.

• Ensure accurate inventory and COGS tracking.

• Partner with operations teams to improve margins and efficiency.

Compliance & Internal Controls

• Establish and maintain internal financial controls.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations.

• Coordinate audits and manage tax filings.

• Mitigate financial risks.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Supervise and mentor accounting team members.

• Collaborate with General Manager and department heads.

• Support capital planning and financial modeling initiatives.

• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of hospitality industry accounting/finance experience (REQUIRED).

• Experience in hotels, resorts, restaurants, or hospitality management companies.

• Strong understanding of hospitality revenue streams and cost structures.

• Proficiency in accounting software and POS systems.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred

• CPA or CMA designation.

• Multi-property experience.

• Experience with ERP implementations.
