Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver with active HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements to transport hazardous materials and liquid freight safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety compliance, timely deliveries, and professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs), including tanker trucks, in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
Transport hazardous materials and liquid cargo to designated locations
Load and unload tanker trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement of materials
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment
Maintain accurate shipping papers, HAZMAT documentation, and delivery records
Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, including HAZMAT safety guidelines
Monitor vehicle performance and report maintenance or safety issues promptly
Respond appropriately to emergencies, spills, or incidents according to safety protocols
Maintain professional communication with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Qualifications
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL Class A or B as required)
Active HAZMAT (H) endorsement
Active Tanker (N) endorsement
Valid Medical Examiners Certificate (DOT card)
Minimum [3] years of commercial driving experience (tanker experience preferred)
Clean driving record with no major violations
Ability to pass background check, drug screening.
Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and HAZMAT regulations
Skills & Competencies
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
Knowledge of hazardous materials handling procedures
Ability to manage time effectively and meet delivery schedules
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic vehicle inspections
Good communication and customer service skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to climb, bend, and reach frequently
Ability to sit for extended periods
Ability to work in varying weather conditions
Work Environment
Regional, local, or over-the-road routes (as applicable)
