Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator/Purchasing Candidate to join our residential construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for estimating construction projects, sourcing subcontractors, and negotiating pricing to ensure efficient and cost-effective completion of residential construction jobs. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating, purchasing, and subcontractor management, preferably with exposure to national builders. We are looking for someone who is innovative, resourceful, and eager to contribute new ideas to enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Estimation: Utilize your expertise to accurately estimate the costs of materials, labor, and other resources required for residential construction projects.
2. Purchasing: Source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing and quality for construction materials and services.
3. Subcontractor Management: Identify and evaluate subcontractors based on their qualifications, performance history, and pricing model. Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors to ensure timely and quality completion of work.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to review project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates and purchasing plans.
5. Innovation: Demonstrate a willingness to explore new ideas and methods to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality in the construction process.
6. Software Skills: Proficient in MS Excel for estimating, budgeting, and data analysis. Familiarity with Co-Construct software is a plus, although training can be provided.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in estimating and purchasing for residential construction projects.
• Familiarity with subcontractor management and negotiation techniques.
• Preferably, previous experience with national builders, or exposure to subcontractor history and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with Co-Construct software is desirable but not required.
