Job Title: Construction Helper
Job Summary:
A Construction Helper assists skilled tradespeople on job sites by performing basic tasks that
support building, repair, and maintenance projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention
to safety, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades as needed
Load and unload construction materials and tools
Clean and prepare job sites, including removing debris and hazards
Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
Hold materials or tools for skilled workers during tasks
Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment
Measure, cut, or assemble materials as directed
Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred (not always required)
Previous construction or labor experience is a plus
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Basic knowledge of tools and construction methods preferred
Strong work ethic and reliability
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various weather conditions
Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces (as needed)
Work Environment:
Outdoor and indoor construction sites
Exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
May require early mornings, overtime, or weekend work
Required Skills:
Construction
