Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating,

ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role ensures systems operate efficiently and

safely while providing quality service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation

units

Perform routine maintenance such as inspections, cleaning, and system tune-ups

Diagnose and repair system issues, including electrical and mechanical problems

Test systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Provide excellent customer service and explain repairs or recommendations

Follow all safety standards and company procedures

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

HVAC certification or technical training preferred

EPA Certification (for refrigerant handling) required or preferred

Previous HVAC experience (1–3+ years preferred, depending on level)

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ pounds

Ability to work in confined spaces, attics, and rooftops

Comfortable working in various weather conditions

Ability to stand, bend, climb, and kneel for extended periods

Work Environment:

Residential, commercial, and/or industrial job sites

Exposure to heat, cold, noise, and mechanical hazards

May require on-call hours, evenings, or weekends
