Factory (Finance) Controller
Job Description:
It is a very hands-on position, producing, reviewing and analyzing the production, financial, business and KPI information, as well as to ensure internal controls are in place, adhered to and functioning properly.
Ø Report to the Finance & Administration Director or any manager designated by him.
Ø Ensure accuracy of inventory (raw materials, WIP and finished goods), general materials and spare parts inventory (physical and books). Participation / coordination in stock counts and follow up on stock count results (cycle counts, ad-hoc counts and year-end counts).
Ø Work closely with plant management, HQ Business Control to review and discuss administrative organization procedures for the operations, including production, logistics and administration processes to identify any potential risk, any improvement bringing potentially higher efficiency or cost savings. Ensure that existing as well as newly agreed procedures and controls are properly and adequately functioning.
Ø Analyze and provide detailed explanations in a timely fashion of variances between actual and standard/budgeted performance indicators, KPIs, financial and plant management information.
Ø Review and control expenditures (purchases – including purchase requisitions, expense reports, freight expenses, etc.).
Ø Oversee the IT function – in coordination with HQ.
Ø Follow up on accounts receivable collection for sales to customers via the branch.
Ø Ad-hoc projects as directed by the Finance & Administration Director.
Qualifications
Ø University degree in Accounting (S-1)
Ø At least 10 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment. This is an essential requirement.
Ø Good understanding of (technical) processes within the manufacturing industry.
Ø Understanding of financial processes within a manufacturing environment.
Ø Dedicated, hands-on and result-driven personality.
Ø Strong analytical abilities combined with a pragmatic approach and excellent communication skills to be able to explain clearly the existing, new or modified procedures and / or controls.
