SUPERINTENDENT TRANSPORTATION EPC FIXED PLANT
(National - Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
- Manages the daily operations of the truck, trailer, cranes, dump truck from port to our designated laydown area.
- Ensure all services are being operated on schedule, on-time, and customers are being provided with safe, reliable, and courteous service.
- Makes sure all administrative business functions and processes are being performed, comply with company transportation safety procedures.
- Tracks, complies, analyzes, and reports on truck, trailer, cranes, dump truck service delivery key performance indicators, including the operator performance reports and handles interdepartmental issues.
- Maintains close communication with staff of other service operations sectors as necessary to ensure a safe and efficient truck, trailer, cranes, dump truck service operations, tracking and interfacing with logistics superintendent and stevedores at Port.
- Oversee all Safety and Quality of Off Load operations, creates and maintains an environment focused on safety and positive labor relations.
- Ensures transporting activities are correctly planned and executed, including installation off-loading equipment, structures, and staging to receive loads.
- Analyzes operations and operational problems and devises and/or approves plans for more economical and efficient service delivery.
- Monitor, studies, and analyzes present service routes, schedules, load factors, operator schedule and recommends appropriate service changes, and makes recommendations to promote efficient, on time, and reliable transit services.
- Performs frequent field inspections of terminals and routes serviced, noting general conditions and possibilities for improvement.
- Evaluates the effects of, and make recommendations on, proposed traffic ordinances and proposed changes to existing traffic routes.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant technical disciplines from an accredited university.
- Have minimum 5-10 years experience from a large recognized transportation operation, which involved supervisory and/or management level experience and responsibilities equivalent of Transportation Superintendent or Senior Transportation Supervisor.
- Prior Bechtel rigging and heavy equipment transport experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience in Logistic, Transport, Plant & Equipment Knowledge, and Mining company is preferred.
- Significant continuous experience spent in planning, directing, and supervising transportation operations including Critical Risk operations in the field.
- Experience of all phases of construction operations relating to field activities of engineering disciplines, construction technologies and jobsite management.
- Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals within the architectural, design, construction, procurement, facility building and planning communities.
- Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills;
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
