Mechanical Engineering Manager manages a team of mechanical engineers designing parts, engines, tools, or other mechanical equipment and industrial processes. Designs, scopes, and develops new mechanical engineering initiatives and projects, and manages them through their life cycles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engineering management (Agile methods experience helpful)
  
• Manage 5-10 Project Mechanical Engineers.
  
• Mechanical Design for manufacturing
  
• Preparation of design control documentation (requirements, verification, traceability)
• Manage resource demands between projects on a daily basis.
  
• Provide oversight to technical staff.
  
• Proactively seek continuous improvement
  
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 -10 years related experience.
• Bachelor' degree or master's degree in mechanical engineering
  
• Process oriented, analytical thinking - problem solver
• Exceptional project and people management skills
  
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language, in both oral and written form.

• Highly organized - Excellent follow through and follow up skills, results and delivery oriented.
