Country Engineer & Project Manager

 Job Description:

Summary

Enhance competitiveness and performance of the Indonesia operations by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of its business methods, management and operations. The incumbent is expected to develop and implement operational strategies which will sustain and improve the Indonesia business so it remains a key market player in the feed milling industry within the country.

Main Job Responsibilities


1.     Set strategies for identifying and reviewing key result areas for efficiency improvement.

2.     Oversee and establish standards for production processes, resources, and capital and recommend/implement solutions to improve productivity and efficiency.

3.     Manage Capital Expenditure budget from preparation, validation until implementation

4.     Plan, direct, and coordinate the logistics, engineering and production activities and facilities to ensure continuous growth and a healthy return on investments.

5.     Monitor the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods to support the smooth and efficient operation of supply chain processes. Measure, analyse and propose enhancements. 

6.     Maintain ISO/HACCP program and ensure that a common SOP framework is in the place for the Malaysian businesses and that the SOP's are followed.

7.     Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs.

8.     Motivate, lead, direct and train the engineering technical and operational staff at the factories so as to generally up-skill the staff capabilities of the sites.

9.     Work closely with heads of the mills in identifying and implementing productivity and quality initiatives that will assist in lifting the overall business performance.

10.  Develop and recommend high-level efficiency improvement strategies, framework and budgets.

11.  Consider safety as a number focus. Correct dangerous areas. Integrate safety in each project’s scope.

12.  Work closely with General Managers in ensuring compliance of all local laws and regulations relating to all technical, engineering, logistics and operational aspects of the feed mills.


General Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills (5-7 years’ experience in the feed milling industry),
  • Good communication skills,
  • Honest and open-minded,
  • Able to adjust and drive the change with the teams,
  • Well organized,
  • Financially oriented (KPI’s),
  • Continuous work towards operational Excellency.
  • Mandatory Languages: local and English
