About the job UX Designer
You'll be confident problem solving using a Human Centred Design approach to define the user experience as well as taking into account the business objectives and technology constraints. You’ll be excited about the challenge of designing for diverse audiences, and delivering across a range of platforms from mobile apps and responsive public sites to internal knowledge systems.
Ideally you will be familiar with experience methodologies such as customer journey maps, personas and scenarios and how these can be used to drive and evaluate different design approaches.
You will be comfortable taking the various requirements of users, stakeholders, business and technology and creating experiences that deliver the best customer outcomes. And if you aren’t doing it already, you’ll be keen to try out different ways of involving users and stakeholders in the design thinking and problem solving process.
Overview of the Role:1. Strategy, Direction & Vision – of the product offering moving forward. There are features that already exist that can be explored and tested
2 Coordinate Prioritise workload – Delegation of work on a technical level
3 Influence, Negotiate and Facilitate – Given the streamlining project will involve picking and choosing features that may be incorporated or excluded, there is a need to be pragmatic, curious and also, a bit of an internal salesperson when there is a solution that looks to be the best for the ultimate vision.
· 2-5+ years minimum of experience working in relevant design industry as an Experience Designer, Product Designer or equivalent
· Experience designing on multiple platforms (iOS, Android, Mobile web, Desktop, etc)
· Expert understanding of the formal elements of design, including typography, layout, balance and colour
· Experience with the process of sketching, conceptual design, wireframing and design prototyping
· Highly proficient with design tools (Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Abstract and other online design collaboration tools.)
· Proficient with interactive prototyping tools (Invision Studio, Framer, Figma, Origami etc.)
·
