ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll be instrumental in ensuring software quality and reliability while working with cutting-edge testing technologies in a collaborative, cross-functional environment based at the modern Hub in Porto.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be embedded in the software development lifecycle from day one, working on e-commerce platforms and digital solutions that serve millions of outdoor enthusiasts. Your role involves creating comprehensive testing strategies for new features and architectural changes, while championing automation best practices across teams. You'll collaborate closely with Product, Development, and stakeholder teams to maintain exceptional quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to shape the QA culture and automation strategy while working on microservice-oriented architectures with modern CI/CD pipelines.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

  • 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer with strong focus on test automation
  • Proficiency in development languages: JavaScript, Python, or Java
  • Hands-on experience with testing frameworks: Cypress, Playwright, Selenium
  • Experience with performance testing tools: K6 or JMeter
  • Proven expertise in API (REST), E2E, and performance testing
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
  • Comfortable with Linux navigation and shell script automation
  • Understanding of microservice-oriented architectures
  • Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (B2 Upper Intermediate minimum)
  • Collaborative mindset with proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills to identify gaps in requirements and user stories
  • Commitment to transparency, open communication, and empathy toward team members
