PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be embedded in an agile e-commerce team focused on enhancing user experience and driving digital sales for a major European Telco. The scope includes ownership of frontend architecture decisions, feature development, system and integration testing, and collaboration with Product Owners and UX designers. It's a dynamic, international environment where engineering quality and product thinking go hand in hand.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience — non-internship, production-grade, with JavaScript and TypeScript as core languages
• Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js in large-scale web applications
• Solid proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and crafting responsive, cross-device user interfaces
• Experience integrating and optimising RESTful APIs in frontend applications
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-performance, well-tested code aligned with current best practices
• Ownership mindset — comfortable taking responsibility for code quality, system tests, functional tests, and integration
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or equivalent practical experience
• Experienced working in Scrum/Agile environments, with strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
• Ability to translate functional and technical requirements into working software, working closely with POs and UX designers
• Fluent English — required for daily communication across an international team
• Based in Portugal, available to work fully remotely

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with e-commerce platforms or high-traffic consumer-facing web applications
• Familiarity with SaaS application integration in frontend contexts
• Exposure to frontend performance optimisation techniques (Core Web Vitals, SSR/SSG strategies in Next.js)
• Experience contributing to frontend architecture decisions at team or platform level
• Background in Telco or similarly complex digital product environments
