About the job Data Migration Analyst CRM/ERP - Portugal Full Remote
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
If you're the kind of person who finds satisfaction in turning messy, fragmented data into something clean, reliable, and trustworthy — this role is for you. You'll be working on a project where data quality isn't a nice-to-have, it's mission-critical. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented position for someone who takes pride in precision and understands that good data is the foundation of good decisions.
No two datasets will look the same. You'll need to think on your feet, follow structured processes with discipline, and bring genuine expertise to a domain where shortcuts have real consequences.
PROJECT & CONTEXT
You'll be embedded in a data migration and quality initiative within a complex, multi-system environment — think CRM platforms, ERP systems, and a healthy dose of real-world "Shadow IT" in the form of Excel files and local databases. The work involves preparing, cleansing, and reconciling data across systems to ensure a clean, consistent, and compliant dataset ready for migration.
The project runs with clear Standard Operating Procedures, global documentation in English, and a team that values rigour above all. Remote-first setup, based in Portugal.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven experience in manual data cleansing: identifying and resolving duplicates using defined survivorship logic, standardising names and addresses, and completing mandatory fields according to established rules
- Comfortable working with Shadow IT environments — extracting, understanding, and structuring data from Excel files and local databases for migration purposes
- Hands-on experience in cross-system data reconciliation: manually comparing datasets between platforms (e.g. CRM exports vs. SAP lists) to identify and document discrepancies
- Ability to follow and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with precision — strict adherence to defined processes is essential in this role
- Strong English skills — all documentation, guidelines, and communication are in English
NICE TO HAVE
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Veeva, or SAP
- Basic SQL for querying databases and performing data extractions; any scripting ability (Python, VBA, or similar) is a bonus
- Familiarity with Data Quality (DQ) tools that leverage AI-based inference or fuzzy-matching logic
- Previous exposure to external data providers such as IQVIA or OneKey
