QA Automation Engineer (Robot Framework/Python) - Hybrid Lisbon or Porto (2 days/week office)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

This position offers the flexibility of hybrid work with only 2 office days per week, allowing you to work from either Lisbon or Porto. You'll be part of cross-functional teams working on challenging automation projects that directly impact business-critical applications across web, mobile, and API ecosystems.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be working on sophisticated software platforms that require robust automation strategies and comprehensive testing coverage. The role involves close collaboration with development, QA, and business teams in an agile environment where continuous improvement and technical excellence are valued. You'll have the opportunity to shape automation strategies, mentor team members, and contribute to architectural decisions regarding testing frameworks and tools.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in Test Automation with proven track record in complex software platform testing
• Core Frameworks: Strong expertise in Robot Framework and proficiency in Java with REST Assured and Python with PyTest
• API Testing: Solid experience testing REST APIs and backend services
• Database Skills: Strong SQL competencies with Oracle or PostgreSQL database validation
• DevOps Integration: Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure: Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for test environment configuration
• Languages: English B2+ (Upper Intermediate) - mandatory
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent field
• Testing Methodology: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design principles, and defect lifecycle management

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Experience with modern automation frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress
• Portuguese language proficiency (fluent or native level)
• Senior-level experience with proven ability to define and evolve QA automation strategies
• Experience mentoring junior team members and supporting architectural decisions
• Background in mobile application testing automation
