PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be working directly with the IT & Transformation team managing the complete SAP S4/HANA Retail ecosystem for a fashion retail operation spanning physical stores, e-commerce, logistics, and customer support. Your primary focus will be on SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and SAP MM (Materials Management) modules specifically tailored for the retail industry, ensuring the platform supports the fast-paced demands of fashion retail operations.

This is a hands-on configuration role where you'll collaborate proactively with the SAP management team to prioritize features, improvements, and technical debt reduction. While external partners handle custom development (ABAP), you'll own the functional configuration, technical specifications for new requirements, and rigorous testing of any changes affecting multiple SAP modules. The role requires close collaboration with multifunctional teams across E-commerce, Retail Operations, Logistics, and Customer Support.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (strongly preferred, nearly mandatory)
• SAP Logistics Expertise: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP SD and/or SAP MM modules (you don't need both, but strong expertise in at least one is essential)
• SAP Retail Experience: Proven experience with SAP Retail-specific functionality and processes
• S4/HANA Experience: Working knowledge of SAP S4/HANA platform and its retail capabilities
• Implementation Experience: 4-5 years of experience implementing and/or supporting SAP solutions through full project lifecycles
• Full Lifecycle Knowledge: Experience across all SAP implementation aspects - business process analysis, system configuration, testing, documentation, end-user training, and production support
• ABAP Basics: Fundamental knowledge of ABAP programming language (you won't be coding, but need to understand technical specifications and work with developers)
• Configuration Skills: Hands-on ability to execute configuration changes in SAP SD/MM Retail based on business requirements
• Technical Specification: Ability to write clear technical specifications for new functional requirements
• Cross-Module Awareness: Understanding of how SD/MM changes impact other SAP areas and ability to collaborate on cross-module changes
• Testing Rigor: Strong testing discipline and attention to detail when validating configuration changes
• Language: B1+ English level (Intermediate minimum) for technical documentation and communication
• Location: Based in Porto region with availability for 3 days/week on-site in Maia office

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Fashion Retail Background: Previous experience in the fashion or apparel retail industry with understanding of seasonal collections, sizing, color variants, and fast-fashion dynamics
• Broader Retail Experience: Exposure to other retail verticals (footwear, accessories, multi-category retail)
• SAP Retail Advanced Features: Deep knowledge of retail-specific modules like Article Master, Assortment Planning, Allocation, or Replenishment
• E-commerce Integration: Understanding of how SAP integrates with e-commerce platforms and omnichannel retail operations
• Warehouse Management: Knowledge of SAP WM (Warehouse Management) or EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
• Additional SAP Modules: Familiarity with adjacent modules like SAP FI/CO basics (without being primarily FI-focused), PP, or QM
• SAP Fiori Experience: Understanding of Fiori apps and modern SAP UX approaches
• S4/HANA Migration: Experience with migration projects from SAP ECC to S4/HANA
• Integration Technologies: Knowledge of SAP integration tools (IDocs, RFCs, APIs, OData services)
• Master Data Management: Strong understanding of master data governance in retail contexts (articles, customers, vendors, pricing)
• Pricing & Promotions: Experience with complex pricing schemas, discount structures, and promotional campaigns in SAP Retail
• Multi-Channel Retail: Understanding of store operations, POS integration, and omnichannel fulfillment scenarios
• Change Management: Experience supporting organizational change and user adoption during SAP rollouts
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile or iterative approaches to SAP configuration and enhancement work
• Portuguese Language: Native or fluent Portuguese for daily business communication with local stakeholders
