PROJECT & CONTEXT

The project centres on delivering a new payment gateway platform designed for high availability and high security. You'll be responsible for end-to-end delivery oversight, working alongside product owners, software architects, engineering squads, security specialists, QA, and external payment partners. The platform will handle core payment flows — authorisation, capture, settlement, and refunds — within a cloud-native architecture built on APIs, microservices, and event-driven patterns. Your day-to-day will involve facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing delivery roadmaps and release schedules, and using Azure DevOps to maintain full visibility over progress through sprint boards, dashboards, and delivery metrics such as velocity, burndown, cycle time, and lead time. You'll also act as the bridge between technical teams and senior stakeholders, translating complexity into clear, actionable updates.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, or Agile Project Manager within technical engineering teams. Strong track record delivering payment systems, payment gateways, or other high-availability, high-security financial platforms. Hands-on, daily experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint tracking, reporting, and delivery metrics. Solid understanding of payment flows including authorisation, capture, settlement, and refunds. Familiarity with PCI-DSS compliance requirements and security best practices relevant to financial platforms. Awareness of modern cloud-native architectures — APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including DevSecOps principles. Excellent facilitation and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving mindset with a calm, structured approach to managing risks, dependencies, and blockers. Ability to influence without authority and operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. Languages required: English (fluent).

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

Experience working with Azure cloud services (beyond Azure DevOps). Background in fintech, e-commerce, or other regulated industries. Exposure to scaled agile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale. Experience coordinating with third-party payment providers, acquirers, or payment scheme networks.
