Senior Cloud Integration & Data Modelling Consultant (Microsoft Fabric/Power BI) – Full Remote Portugal

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A healthcare technology organization is looking for a Senior Cloud Integration and Data Modelling Consultant to join a high-priority data project focused on Microsoft Fabric and Azure. This is a 6-month, full-dedication consulting engagement, fully remote, with only occasional on-site visits in the Lisbon area if needed.

If you have 5+ years of solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, ETL development, and Power BI, and you hold the required certifications — this is a clean, focused engagement with a clear scope and immediate start.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be contributing to a data integration and modelling project, likely within the public health or healthcare sector in Portugal. The work covers dimensional modelling, ETL development, database administration, and report/presentation layer development across the full Microsoft data stack. Agile delivery is part of the working model — sprint-based, with Scrum practices in place.

The regime is service provision (prestação de serviços), 100% dedicated, predominantly remote. Lisbon-area candidates are preferred but the role is open across Portugal.

Duration: 6 months, full dedication.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of experience in data and cloud projects
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure for data integration and modelling workloads
• Solid dimensional modelling skills — star schema, data vault, or equivalent
• ETL development experience — designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines
• Database administration — SQL Server or equivalent, including performance and maintenance
• Power BI report and dashboard development, including the presentation/semantic layer
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum) in a project delivery context
• Ability to work independently across the full data stack with minimal supervision
• Certification — mandatory: Azure Database Administrator Associate
• Certification — mandatory: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate
• Certification — mandatory: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
• Certification — mandatory: Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I)
• English: B1 (Intermediate) — functional written and spoken English required
• Based in Portugal — mandatory. Lisbon area preferred but not required.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in public sector or healthcare data projects in Portugal
• Familiarity with SPMS or other national health data systems and standards
• Additional Microsoft Azure data certifications (DP-203, DP-900, or equivalent)
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or Databricks
• Exposure to data governance or data quality frameworks in regulated environments

Compensation: €2,610 – €3,480/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
