About the job Salesforce Product Owner - Hybrid Porto (Remote-first, occasional office visits)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Seeking a Senior Salesforce Product Owner to take ownership of product delivery within an Agile environment. This is a remote-first role based in Portugal, with occasional visits to the Porto office when the project requires it — making it ideal for candidates based anywhere in Portugal who want flexibility without sacrificing meaningful project involvement.
PROJECT & CONTEXT
You'll be the connective tissue between business stakeholders and a cross-functional delivery team working on a Salesforce product. The scope is broad — spanning backlog ownership, sprint ceremonies, stakeholder alignment, release governance, and requirements analysis. You'll be working across Engineering, QA, UX, DevOps, Finance, and Business teams, managing competing priorities in a fast-moving Agile environment where clear communication and decisive ownership are what make delivery succeed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Proven track record as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum environments, ideally within Salesforce-driven product contexts
- Demonstrated ability to own and manage a Product Backlog end-to-end — from definition and grooming through prioritisation and sprint readiness
- Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria that translate business needs into clear, actionable development tasks
- Confident participation in all Agile ceremonies: backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Ability to act as the primary communication bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, managing expectations across a diverse stakeholder landscape
- Experience gathering and translating requirements from business, client, and technical stakeholders into structured, unambiguous deliverables
- Solid skills in impact analysis, dependency identification, and scope management during active development cycles
- Experience with Agile tooling such as Jira or Azure DevOps for backlog and delivery management
- Proactive approach to risk identification — able to surface delivery risks early and communicate structured mitigation plans
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and prioritisation skills across cross-functional teams including Engineering, QA, UX, DevOps, Finance, and Business
- English at B2 level (Upper Intermediate) or above — essential for daily stakeholder communication and documentation
- Based in Portugal, available for occasional in-person presence in Porto when required by the client
NICE TO HAVE
- Salesforce platform knowledge or experience as PO on a Salesforce implementation or optimisation project
- Formal Agile certifications (e.g., CSPO, PSM, SAFe PO/PM)
- Experience in release management and formal stakeholder sign-off processes
- Background in consulting or multi-vendor delivery environments
- Exposure to DevOps practices and understanding of CI/CD release cycles
