Senior QA Tester (Postman/REST API) – Hybrid Porto (2 days/week office)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

A tech company backed by one of Portugal's largest energy corporations is hiring a Senior QA Tester to join their core development team. This is aposition in the Porto area (Leça da Palmeira), with a hybrid schedule — only 2 days per week on-site. The company is on a mission to reshape the Iberian e-mobility market through ambitious, innovative software — and quality is at the heart of how they ship. PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be embedded directly in the product development team, working inside an Agile/Scrum environment alongside developers, product managers, and other stakeholders. Your focus? The backoffice platform and its REST API layer — ensuring everything runs cleanly, performs as expected, and meets the highest quality standards before it reaches production. The project is mission-driven (think: mobility for good) and technically demanding, with a fast-paced, collaborative culture. It's the kind of environment where your work directly impacts what ships.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 7+ years of professional experience as a QA Tester
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman — status codes, payload validation, error handling, authentication flows
• Experience with UI/functional testing of backoffice or admin panels
• Proficiency with Jira or a similar ticketing/bug-tracking tool
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test types, and best practices
• Knowledge of Oracle DB — ability to validate data and run basic queries
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English (B1 minimum)
• Fluent Portuguese (mandatory)

NICE TO HAVE

• Basic knowledge of Selenium (UI test automation)
• Basic knowledge of JMeter (performance and load testing)
• Experience with exploratory testing approaches
• Comfort working independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
