Digital Data Analyst (SQL/BigQuery/BI) - Full Remote Portugal

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join the Portugal team of one of Switzerland's leading telecommunications operators, working as a Digital Data Analyst embedded within Commercial and Digital teams. This is a role for someone who is genuinely self-sufficient — able to pick up complex analytical problems, work with autonomy, and deliver insights that directly influence business decisions. If you're a strong SQL analyst with a data science foundation and a bias for action, this is a high-impact opportunity with real strategic visibility.

Language: English B2 minimum | Level: Mid-level (3+ years, autonomy over years counts) | Location: Portugal-based, fully remote

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be supporting data-driven decision making across marketing, commercial, and digital product initiatives — from campaign performance analysis and KPI frameworks through to experimentation design and predictive modelling. The environment values self-starters who hit the ground running and don't wait for instructions, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Commercial, and Digital teams in a modern cloud analytics stack.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Commercial Analytics — autonomy and depth matter more than exact years
  • Advanced SQL skills with proven experience querying and analysing large, complex datasets in production environments
  • Experience with BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio — building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and KPI frameworks
  • Experience working with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks
  • Strong analytical thinking — able to translate ambiguous business questions into structured, data-driven analyses independently
  • Ability to develop and maintain reliable data models and datasets to support self-service analytics across the organisation
  • Excellent communication skills — comfortable presenting insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and senior non-technical stakeholders
  • Genuine self-sufficiency — you take ownership of your work end-to-end without requiring constant direction
  • English B2 or above — required for daily collaboration with Swiss and international stakeholders
  • Based in Portugal, available to work fully remotely

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with Python or R for analysis, statistical modelling, and automation
  • Experience in predictive modelling — specifically classification and regression techniques applied to commercial or customer data
  • Experience designing and analysing A/B tests and experiments using rigorous statistical methods — a meaningful differentiator for this role
  • Familiarity with GCP, Azure, or AWS cloud environments
  • Understanding of customer behaviour, digital product metrics, and commercial performance in subscription or digital commerce contexts
  • Background in telecommunications, digital, subscription, or e-commerce businesses
  • Experience working within Agile product teams
