Job Openings Enterprise/Solution Architect - Remote Portugal (UK Project)

About the job Enterprise/Solution Architect - Remote Portugal (UK Project)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a technology consultancy supporting a major UK-based organization on a strategic enterprise architecture transformation initiative. This full remote role from Portugal offers the unique opportunity to shape enterprise-wide architectural vision, principles, standards, and roadmaps while working with modern cloud-native technologies and influencing technical decisions at the highest organizational levels. As an Enterprise/Solution Architect, you'll bridge business strategy and IT strategy, translating business needs into comprehensive end-to-end architectural solutions that prevent technical fragmentation and debt. This role demands exceptional English communication skills (C1 Advanced mandatory) and outstanding soft skills as you'll collaborate extensively with UK stakeholders across business, project management, and technical teams. Working with cutting-edge technologies including Angular, Java, Golang, and AWS, you'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical credibility, reviewing and validating solution architectures for strategic projects while promoting best practices in security, scalability, performance, and maintainability across the enterprise.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision aligned with business strategy, working in a complex technological environment that requires both broad architectural expertise and deep technical knowledge. Your responsibilities span defining governance frameworks and compliance standards, evaluating and guiding technology decisions to prevent architectural drift, supporting strategic projects through architecture review and validation, and identifying risks, dependencies, and impacts of architectural decisions. The role involves creating comprehensive architecture documentation including logical, physical, and conceptual models, analyzing technology trends and evaluating their applicability to the organization, and implementing proof-of-concepts for new technology adoption. Working across application architecture, data architecture, integration patterns, and infrastructure design, you'll ensure alignment between cloud strategies, API design, microservices implementations, and system modernization initiatives. Critical to success is your ability to communicate and influence multiple stakeholders—from C-level executives to development teams—articulating complex technical concepts clearly while maintaining strong connections between technology choices and business objectives. You'll provide strategic guidance to development teams, collaborate with multicultural teams across time zones, and ensure architectural decisions maximize business value while maintaining technical excellence.
