..NET Backend Developer (.NET 10/Docker/SCADA) - Full Remote Portugal

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a technically challenging project building an industrial SCADA platform for Building Management Systems (BMS) from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to work on a modern, greenfield platform spanning cloud and containerised on-premise deployments, with real-time communication to physical controllers. If you're a .NET developer who wants exposure to distributed systems, messaging architectures, and industrial/IoT environments, this role offers significant room to grow technically.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be joining the early-stage build of an industrial SCADA/BMS platform, working across multiple APIs, asynchronous messaging, security, and real-time communication layers. The platform spans both cloud and containerised on-premise deployments, giving you exposure to a genuinely modern, full-stack industrial tech ecosystem.

Stack: .NET 10, React, PostgreSQL, gRPC, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, Docker, Aspire, Caddy

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 2–5 years of experience in .NET backend development (C#)
• Strong knowledge of .NET with hands-on experience building and/or consuming REST APIs
• Comfortable working with relational databases, particularly SQL/PostgreSQL
• Genuine interest in distributed systems, messaging architectures, or industrial/IoT environments
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly — the surrounding stack (gRPC, RabbitMQ, Docker, etc.) can be picked up on the job, provided the .NET/API foundation is strong
• English B2 or above — required for team collaboration
• Based in Portugal, available to work fully remotely

NICE TO HAVE

• Basic familiarity with Docker and containerisation concepts
• Exposure to gRPC for service-to-service communication
• Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ
• Experience with identity and access management tools such as Keycloak
• Background in industrial automation, SCADA, or IoT systems

Compensation: €1,800 – €2,400/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
