PROJECT & CONTEXT

You'll be integral to quality assurance for digital ticketing platforms, mobile ticket applications, and back-end systems that manage sales, tariffs, and customer data for public transport operators and associations. This challenging USA-based project involves testing complex, mission-critical systems where reliability and accuracy are paramount. Your responsibilities will span creating comprehensive test plans, implementing automated testing frameworks, and conducting thorough manual testing across web and mobile platforms. You'll work with international teams to ensure seamless user experiences for passengers while maintaining the high standards required for public transportation infrastructure that serves communities daily.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a QA Engineer in both functional and automated testing environments
  • Proven ability to create comprehensive test plans for manual and automated testing scenarios
  • Proficiency in writing tests using programming languages: Python, TypeScript, or Java
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with both manual testing techniques and test automation frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English (B2 Upper Intermediate minimum)
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment with minimal supervision
  • Experience collaborating with distributed international teams
  • Commitment to quality excellence in mission-critical applications
  • Available for one day per week in Lisbon office

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

  • Hands-on experience with web testing tools: Selenium or Playwright
  • Experience with mobile app testing frameworks: XCUITest, Appium, or similar tools
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
  • Experience testing payment systems, ticketing platforms, or e-commerce applications
  • Knowledge of API testing and performance testing
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience working on USA-based projects or with German companies
  • Understanding of accessibility testing standards
