You won't just manage processes — you'll define methodology, mentor teams, and act as the go-to Subject Matter Expert across testing disciplines. PROJECT & CONTEXT

You will lead and coordinate all testing activities across a major technical delivery programme within a regulated insurance and e-commerce environment. The scope spans multiple concurrent projects, cross-functional teams, and external partners — operating across both Agile and Waterfall delivery models. You will own the full testing lifecycle, from test planning and script preparation through defect management, stakeholder reporting, and test closure. The role requires close collaboration with QA Leads, Engineers, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure quality gates are met at every phase — SIT, UAT, and ORT.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

Experience & Leadership

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing and leading QA/testing teams on large-scale, end-to-end projects
  • Proven track record managing all testing phases: System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Operational Readiness Testing (ORT)
  • Experience coordinating diverse, multi-stream teams including external partners and third-party vendors
  • Hands-on background as a QA Lead or Engineer, with the ability to cover resource responsibilities when needed

Technical Skills

  • Extensive hands-on experience with JIRA (project/defect tracking) and Confluence (documentation and test management)
  • Proficiency with test automation tools (experience with at least one industry-standard framework required)
  • Strong skills in test planning, test script development (scenarios and test cases), defect tracking, and test data management
  • Solid understanding of testing policy considerations, including handling of sensitive customer data

Domain Knowledge

  • Good domain knowledge in at least one of the following: testing methodology, insurance (specifically device protection), or e-commerce
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and validate business and application requirements in insurance/e-commerce contexts
  • Familiarity with test-programme concerns: risk and issue management, test design, and phase-specific testing approaches

Methodology

  • Strong working knowledge of the full testing lifecycle (STLC)
  • Comfortable operating in both Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall delivery environments
  • Experience producing and owning key testing artefacts: Test Goal, Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Closure reports

Languages

  • Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken) — required
  • Full professional fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) — required

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

  • Background in insurtech, fintech, or regulated digital platforms
  • Experience introducing and onboarding new testing tools to a QA practice
  • Familiarity with AI, API, or RPA technologies in a testing or QA context
  • Experience driving test process improvement initiatives based on lessons learned and retrospectives
  • Exposure to cost tracking and progress status reporting for testing workstreams
  • Prior experience as a testing SME in a consulting or centre-of-excellence capacity
