ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Join a world-class technology consultancy as a Senior Data Scientist, partnering closely with marketing and product teams to drive strategic decisions through data-backed insights. You'll lead the creation and optimization of statistical models for marketing spend optimization and product growth while translating complex analyses into clear narratives for non-technical audiences. This role offers you the opportunity to work with significant independence as a high-level individual contributor, influencing product and marketing strategy across all organizational levels.
PROJECT & CONTEXT
You'll diagnose business challenges and define appropriate data metrics, analyses, and interpretations to drive strategic marketing and product decisions. The role involves leading the creation, monitoring, and iterative improvement of key statistical models used for marketing spend optimization and product growth initiatives. You'll design clear, compelling narratives and data visualizations to communicate model outputs to broad, non-technical audiences including leadership and cross-functional teams. Working independently, you'll rapidly prototype and test new insights, moving from hypothesis to rigorous validation with minimal mentorship. You'll reason effectively about different modeling approaches, selecting and iterating on combinations that suit specific marketing contexts while working across major cloud platforms. Experience with causal inference libraries like CausalImpact and RStan is essential for measuring marketing effectiveness and attribution.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)
- Senior-level individual contributor: High-impact data scientist working with significant independence to lead complex initiatives affecting Core Tech roadmap
- Python or R expertise: Expert proficiency for sophisticated multi-dimensional datasets, specifically with causal inference libraries like CausalImpact and RStan
- Advanced SQL skills: Ability to confidently manipulate and structure complex data for analysis
- Cloud platform experience: Hands-on work across major cloud providers including AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Statistical modeling: Proven ability to define requirements for and lead creation of statistical models for marketing optimization and product growth
- Business partnership: Strong experience partnering with marketing and product teams to diagnose challenges and define metrics
- Communication excellence: Ability to design clear narratives and visualizations for non-technical audiences across all organizational levels
- Rapid prototyping: Capability to independently prototype and test insights from hypothesis to validation
- Strategic influence: Track record influencing product and marketing strategy through data-backed evidence
- Creative problem-solving: Solution-oriented, self-starter able to build compelling narratives from raw data
- Language requirement: Fluent English (mandatory)
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Databricks and Snowflake data platforms
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks
- Knowledge of marketing mix modeling (MMM) and multi-touch attribution
- Background in Bayesian statistics and probabilistic programming
- Exposure to machine learning for predictive analytics
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
- Understanding of digital marketing channels and customer journey analytics
