About the job Procurement Officer
Job Scope:
The main role for this position is to ensure that applicable codes,
standards, and procedures are followed and that quality of procured items meets
or exceeds requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
· Establish and manage ordering model for Saudi operation taking into account all factors such as (Lead time, Safety stock level, costing structure, optimal shipping incoterms, etc…) – 1-3 Month.
· Manage communication with suppliers on sourcing, pricing, shipping, issues, returns. 1-3 Months.
· Managing liquidation plan in coordination with sales team. (liquidation items are already established) – Short/Long Term.
· Liquidation items SKUs to be labeled in the system along with proper description and pricing – 1-3 Months.
· Create regular reporting to sales and management to track the liquidation plan performance - 1-3 Months.
· Reducing those liquidation items value by XX% (Reduction plan to be set for those liquidation items in coordination with the management and sales team) – Long Term.
· Increasing inventory turnover levels for items with lower than 3 times inventory turnover. (items to be identified at initial stage in coordination with management and sales team) – Long Term.
· Minimize days out of stock for top movers to zero. 1-3 Months.
· The integrity of description, pricing structure, costing of all items on the system to be maintained at optimal level. 1-3 Months.
· Actual vs. Estimated Cost Factors of items buffer to be kept within 2%. Short/Long Term.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Strong Communication and negotiation skills.
· Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
· Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
· Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
· Good with numbers.
· Attention to details.
· Follow up skills.
· Organizational skills.
· Experience with shipping is preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
· Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Management, Accounting, or similar field required.
· 2-4 years of experience as a Procurement Officer.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
· Proficiency in procurement software.
· Fluency in Arabic and English.
