About the Company:

We are a growing U.S.-based importer specializing in high-quality Japanese cosmetic products. Working directly with leading manufacturers in Japan, we bring carefully curated beauty brands to the U.S. market. As our team continues to expand, we are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our President-led business development team.

About the Role:

In this dynamic, cross-cultural role, you will act as a liaison between our company and Japanese beauty manufacturers. You will play a key role in sourcing, negotiating, and promoting new and existing brands to help bring them successfully into the U.S. market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Japanese manufacturers to understand product details, branding, and company goals

  • Conduct product and brand research to evaluate U.S. market potential

  • Act as a buyer to identify and pitch promising brands for distribution

  • Gather feedback from internal stakeholders on how products should be marketed and sold in the U.S.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to plan promotions and product rollouts

  • Maintain clear, consistent communication and reporting with leadership and partners

Ideal Candidate:

  • Fluent in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking)

  • Strong communicator, especially in timely updates and reporting

  • Comfortable working with manufacturers and clients in a business development capacity

  • Self-motivated and humble, with a strong work ethic

  • Able to thrive in a cross-cultural, fast-paced environment

  • Experience in beauty, import/export, or consumer goods is a plus
