About the job Sales & Service Engineer

Our client is the world's largest manufacturer of metering pumps and is a solution partner for water treatment. They have offices over 60 countries worldwide. They are looking for a qualified Sales & Service Engineer and the role primary responsibility is to have a combined technical knowledge with sales skills to provide support and assistance to customers regarding technical products or services. This role involves understanding customer requirements, offering technical solutions, and ensuring postsales support to enhance customer satisfaction. The products focus are chemical handling equipment inclusive of chemical dosing pumps, measurements and control technology and water treatment systems.

Sales Activities

a. Identify potential customers & generate leads.

b. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and proposing technical solutions.

c. Collaborate with the sales team to create sales strategies and achieve sales targets.

d. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with clients.

e. Deliver technical & service presentations to clients

Technical Support

a. Provide technical support and advice to customers before and after sales.

b. Actively participate in tender process i.e. tender document submission, technical clarification, commercial clarification, etc.

c. Troubleshoot simple technical issues and provide prompt resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

d. Collaborate with the technical team to address complex customer inquiries or problems.

e. Gather customer feedback and communicate insights to the relevant departments for product and service improvement

Documentation & Reporting

a. Reports to the Unit Manager-Business Development.

b. Supports tender documentation work when required.

c. Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and transactions through companys systems.

d. Prepare regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical).
  2. Possess good communication skill and interpersonal skill.
  3. Adaptability to changing priorities and a fast-paced work environment.
  4. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  5. Problem-solving abilities and a customer-oriented approach.
  6. Possess own car and willing to travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, or technical support.
  7. Fresh graduates/ New entries and candidates with 1 to 2 years are welcome to apply
  8. Working experience in industrial product sales (pumps, instrumentation, chemical, etc.) would be an advantage.
