About the Client
Established in Perak since 1974, our client is an Electrical & Air Conditioning Specialist.


Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Scheduling: 

  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. 
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements. 

2. Team Management: 

  • Lead and manage a team of electrical contractors, electricians, and other project staff. 
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members. 
  • Ensure that the team is working efficiently and meeting project milestones. 

3. Budget Management: 

  • Control costs and optimize resource utilization. 
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance. 
  • Prepare and submit project cost estimates to clients.

4. Quality Control: 

  • Ensure that electrical installations comply with relevant codes and standards. 
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes. 
  • Conduct inspections to verify work meets specifications. 

5. Risk Management: 

  • Identify and assess potential risks to the project. 
  • Develop strategies to mitigate risks and troubleshoot issues as they arise. 

6. Client Communication: 

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the contractor and the client. 
  • Provide regular project updates to clients and management, and address any concerns. 

7. Safety Compliance: 

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site. 
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations.

8. Documentation: 

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports. 
  • Prepare and submit project documentation to relevant authorities. 

9. Problem Solving: 

  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact the project timeline or budget. 
  • Make decisions that align with the overall project goals. 


Requirements

1. Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field. 
  • Relevant experience in project management, preferably in electrical contracting will be an advantage

2. Technical Knowledge: 

  • In-depth understanding of electrical systems and installations. 
  • Familiarity with Energy Commission, TNB and IEC electrical codes and regulations. 

3. Project Management Skills: 

  • Strong organizational and planning skills. 
  • Proficiency in project management software will be an advantage

4. Communication Skills: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders. 

5. Leadership Abilities: 

  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire team members will be an advantage

6. Problem-Solving Skills: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to make informed decisions under pressure. 

7. Regulatory Compliance: 

  • Knowledge of and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements. 

8. Certifications: 

  • Relevant certifications in project management or electrical contracting may be preferred.

Remuneration
MYR 3,500 - Negotiable
